Benefits of integrated tribars
These are designed with top performance in mind and each part of the bar is optimised for its function, so brakes , shifters, cables and grips are all shaped and positioned for the best aerodynamic flow and to allow the best cycling position.The idea is to create a streamlined shape and because of this, single piece tribars do not have a great range of adjustment; the clamps and bolts required would interfere quite badly with airflow.
As a result of their design, sometimes top riders will make adjustments to their bike to get the right position on the tribars rather than the other way around.
